Who is behind Kopje Limburg?
Right now, we are a small, dedicated team of two. Because we are a grassroots community project, we rely heavily on your help, feedback, and word-of-mouth to grow and improve the platform.
Will the website be full of annoying ads?
No. We want Kopje Limburg to be completely free of disruptive banner ads. Our goal is to provide a clean, peaceful reading experience with a premium feel so you can focus on the news that matters.
Is membership really free?
Yes, our basic community membership will always be 100% free. You will always be able to read the local updates and earn Buurtkrachten (points) without paying a cent.
Will there be a premium membership in the future?
Eventually, yes. We may introduce an optional premium tier down the road. However, right now we are entirely focused on building a solid free platform and listening to what our community actually wants and needs before launching anything paid.

Do you use AI technology in your articles?
Yes, we do use AI as an assisting tool, but every single article is human-reviewed before it is published. Because we are a tiny team monitoring dozens of municipal feeds, AI helps us do the heavy lifting of translating dry government texts into readable updates. We don’t hide this, it’s the only way we can make this project feasible while ensuring the final stories remain warm, accurate, and neighborly.
