In our ‘Shelter Animal Spotlight,’ we feature four shelter animals every week, hoping to help them find a new home with a loving family. We love animals because they give us unconditional love, and this is our way of giving something back to them. Kopje Limburg is here for both people and animals.
Kayla
Sweet Kayla is looking for a place where she’ll never have to move again. Sadly, she was returned once before because she didn’t get along with the other cats; that’s why she has already spent over 200 days in the shelter! This is despite the fact that she is great with children and loves to snuggle up with you. She has a few minor health issues for which she receives pain medication and a special diet, but she still thoroughly enjoys outings and nice walks. She would prefer a home without other dogs, as she finds them a bit scary. Do you have a garden to play in together and a warm bed to spare? Then Kayla will likely think you’re absolutely wonderful!
Maggie
This beautiful kitty, Maggie, was brought to the shelter because she was afraid of the man of the house. She would likely feel more comfortable with a woman, or at least with someone who has a gentler energy. She needs a little time to adjust, but she will immediately brighten your day from a distance with her stunning appearance. It is important that you have a garden, as Maggie likes to get a breath of fresh air every now and then.
Silkie Roosters
Three handsome roosters would love to scratch around in your run, but if you only have room for one or two of them, that’s perfectly fine as well. These fluffy bantam roosters were unfortunately dumped, but luckily they are doing great now. They are mainly looking for a good home; as for the adoption fees—no one’s going to “crow” about those. 😉
Jolly
Jolly is a bit shy but loves being petted. Once he has had some time to settle in, he might just turn into a real teddy bear—especially if you are one too. This handsome fellow was found wandering the streets alone and sadly was never claimed. Do you have a place in your heart and home for him? Please note that Jolly also enjoys going outside to play occasionally. If this isn’t a problem, he is eagerly waiting to hear from you!
