And honestly? She earned every bit of it. Katie has a visual impairment, but she refuses to let that define her. Her unofficial motto seems to be: ‘cant doesnt exist’. 💪

The mayor said it best: ‘With your drive, curiosity, and perseverance, you are an inspiration to many.’ Her parents, school, and the team at Royal Visio in Grave also got a well-deserved shoutout.
The Youth Ribbon is given to young residents of Beekdaelen who genuinely make a difference. Katie fits that bill beautifully.
