In ‘Shelter Animals Spotlight’, we highlight four shelter animals each time, in the hope of helping them find a new home with a loving family more quickly. We love animals because they give us unconditional love. This is our way of giving something back to them. Kopje Limburg is here for both people and animals.
Selma
Selma is a tender young soul, just two years old. She has a beautiful coat, but she’s still a little frightened of the world around her. She is looking for a patient heart—someone who will grant her the time she needs to settle in. For now, petting and cuddling can feel a bit overwhelming, but if you let her watch the cat out of the tree at her own pace in your home, she will surely come around. Just make sure there is a nice scratching post waiting for her; it’s her favorite place in the world.
Puk
Puk is a handsome lad of seven and a half years. He is a true adventurer; if he could speak, he’d tell you stories to fill an entire evening. You see, Puk was actually missing for six long years. When he was finally found, his old home had new cats that he didn’t quite get along with, so he’s now searching for a quiet house all to himself. He still loves to play and enjoy a stroke, but like any cat who has seen the world, he knows how to set his boundaries.
Oreo and Cookie
No, these aren’t treats for your coffee; Oreo and Cookie are a sweet-as-can-be duo of dwarf rabbits! They are only available as a pair, because we couldn’t dream of parting such close friends. The male is one year old and the female is ten months. They have stayed together through thick and thin, but after their previous owners went their separate ways, they found themselves here at the shelter. They are ready to find a new corner of the world together.
Tiaki
Little Tiaki is a charming tiny lady of just four months. She was brought to us because, sadly, there wasn’t quite a “click” with her previous owner. Are you willing to invest the time to build a real bond with her? And do you have a home for her that is at least 100 centimeters long? If so, you might be the one to offer Tiaki her fresh start. If you’re interested, please send a photo of her potential new home so Tiaki can see if it meets her standards.
