Heads up for everyone near Withuis! Starting this week (week 22), the municipality kicks off phase 3 of the road redesign project. This time, the intersection of Withuis and Kommelsweg is getting a makeover. Work is expected to continue through week 24.
One important update: the original plan was to allow temporary two-way traffic on Steenbergweg. But based on recent experience, it turned out this was not safe enough. So one-way traffic on Steenbergweg stays in place.
What about the detours?
- Withuis is closed to through traffic during all phases
- Car traffic to and from Belgium is rerouted via the A2 🚗
- Car traffic to Mesch goes via Moerslag (follow the signs)
- Cyclists heading to or from Belgium are rerouted via Mesch 🚴
