Horst-Sevenum Station Area Is Getting a Major Makeover!

1x

Great news for everyone near Horst-Sevenum station! Around summer 2026, work will begin to make the entire station area safer, greener, and more pleasant. The project is expected to take about a year, finishing around May 2027.

So what is actually changing? Here is a quick rundown:

  • 🚗 The intersection at the railway crossing will be replaced by a brand new roundabout, located between the Loopcentrum and Bakker Groen.
  • 🚌 Bus stops are moving to a shiny new bus square right next to the station.
  • 🚶 Pedestrians and cyclists will get safe crossing points at the roundabout, further away from the tracks.
  • 🅿️ Around 150 extra car parking spaces and additional bike lockers are being added.
  • 🌳 Existing monumental trees will get more room to breathe, and new trees and planting beds are being added too.

The roundabout will naturally slow down traffic, creating better visibility and more safety for everyone. This project is part of a national program focused on making railway crossings safer across the Netherlands.
